Short Biography (个人简介)

陈鹏，工学博士，副教授、硕士生导师。入选汕头大学“卓越人才计划”，获评汕头市高层次人才；国家自然科学基金通讯评审专家，IEEE（美国电气与电子工程师学会）会员；中国振动工程学会信号处理分会、动态测试专业委员会、转子动力学分会委员；教育部学位与研究生教育发展中心学位论文评审专家、全国本科毕业论文（设计）抽检评审专家。2020年于电子科技大学获工学博士学位，导师为加拿大工程院院士、IEEE Fellow 左明健（Ming J. Zuo）教授；2019-2020年在比利时鲁汶大学（KU Leuven）联合培养攻读博士；2018年比勒陀利亚大学（University of Pretoria）P. Stephan Heyns（南非科学院院士）团队访问研究学者。作为项目负责人，主持国家自然科学基金青年项目（优秀结题）、广东省基础与应用基础研究基金面上项目2项、广东省科技计划、广东特种设备检测研究院（顺德）检测院委托项目等共8项；并参与国家重点研发计划、国家自然科学基金重点项目及面上项目等6项。以第一/通讯作者在JCR/中科院一区、二区Top期刊发表SCI论文40余篇，其中高被引/热点论文2篇；论文发表于行业旗舰刊物 MECH SYST SIGNAL PR、 EXPERT SYST APPL 、KNOWL BASED SYST、 ENG APPL ARTIF INTELL 、IEEE INTERNET THINGS J、 IEEE T INSTRUM MEAS、 IEEE T RELIAB 、OCEAN ENG 、J SOUND VIB 、MEAS 、NONDESTRUCT TEST EVAL等期刊；授权发明专利6项。兼任多家国际期刊审稿人及部分期刊客座编辑，包括IEEE INTERNET THINGS J、IEEE T IND INFORM、IEEE T IND ELECTRON IEEE T INSTRUM MEAS、IEEE T RELIAB、MECH SYST SIGNAL PR、KNOWL-BASED SYST、ADV ENG INFORM、SENSORS-BASEL等。

Peng Chen is an Associate Professor at Shantou University, Guangdong, China. He received the Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering (2020) and the M.S. degree in Mechatronic Engineering (2016) from the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC), under the supervision of Prof. Ming J. Zuo (Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Engineering and IEEE Fellow). From 2019 to 2020, he was an International Scholar with the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (Belgium). In 2018, he was a Visiting Research Scholar with the Department of Mechanical and Aeronautical Engineering, University of Pretoria (South Africa), working with Prof. P. Stephan Heyns (Fellow of the Academy of Science of South Africa). He has been selected for the Shantou University Outstanding Talents Program (Outstanding Young Talents) and recognized as Shantou High‑level Talent. He serves as an external peer reviewer for the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) and is a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). He is also a committee member of the Signal Processing Branch, the Dynamic Testing Professional Committee, and the Rotor Dynamics Division of the Chinese Vibration Engineering Society. As principal investigator, he has led eight projects, including one NSFC Young Scientists project, two General Program grants of the Guangdong Basic and Applied Basic Research Foundation, a commissioned project from the Guangdong Special Equipment Inspection and Research Institute (Shunde), and projects under Guangdong provincial science and technology programs. He has additionally participated in six major projects, including the National Key R&D Program of China, NSFC Key Projects, and NSFC General Projects. Dr. Chen has authored over 40 SCI‑indexed papers as the first or corresponding author in top-tier Q1/Q2 journals, including MECH SYST SIGNAL PR、 EXPERT SYST APPL 、KNOWL BASED SYST、 ENG APPL ARTIF INTELL 、IEEE INTERNET THINGS J、 IEEE T INSTRUM MEAS、 IEEE T RELIAB 、OCEAN ENG 、J SOUND VIB 、MEAS 、NONDESTRUCT TEST EVAL. His publications include one Highly Cited Paper and one Hot Paper. He holds six granted invention patents. He serves as a peer reviewer and guest editor for international journals such as IEEE INTERNET THINGS J、IEEE T IND INFORM、IEEE T IND ELECTRON IEEE T INSTRUM MEAS、IEEE T RELIAB、MECH SYST SIGNAL PR、KNOWL-BASED SYST、ADV ENG INFORM、SENSORS-BASEL, among others.

主要研究方向/领域：智能声学与多模态信号处理（多尺度时频与稀疏/图表示、阵列感知与源分离）、可信多模态人工智能与协同计算（生成式模型、自适应感知、具身交互、可信联邦学习与端–边–云协同）、工业智能驱动的故障诊断与预测性健康管理（面向智能交通、风电系统、伺服机器人及智能制造关键部件）。

Intelligent acoustics and multimodal signal processing—encompassing multi-scale time–frequency analysis, sparse/graph representations, array sensing, and source separation—trustworthy multimodal AI and collaborative computing, including generative models, adaptive perception, embodied interaction, trustworthy federated learning, and end–edge–cloud collaboration, and industrial intelligence–driven Prognostics and Health Management (PHM) aimed at intelligent transportation, wind turbine systems, servo robots, and key components of intelligent manufacturing.
